Sleek Design

With the sleek design and retractable rubber tracks the Spartan has the advantage of achieving entry through standard doorways allowing the rig to carryout work in the restricted of areas.

The Spartan can carry out open Auger Bored Piles, using both temporary and permanent casing, up to a maximum diameter of 340mm, bored by a mast mounted rotary head delivering a torque of up to 10649Nm. The Spartan is capable of drilling using both Duplex and Odex techniques also drilling through obstructions and hard ground with Down the Hole Hammer (DTH) equipment. The hydraulic mast can be extended / retracted to permit piles to be installed in very limited headroom.

The rig is powered by a 55kw-74Hp water cooled engine which is towed behind the rig, this can be detached and relocated up to 40m from the rig during pile installation.
